Are you a Windows user?
It seems like most Tumblr users are Mac people. But there must be some PC/Windows Tumblrs out there. If you are a Windows user, can you explain why in a reblog?
If you are a former Windows user, like me, you can still participate. Just reblog why you used a PC before you switched.
In my case, I thought PCs were the real deal, while Macs were slow and for posers. Two years ago, the most serious computer users at my company (Kunal and Andrew) were like, Yeah, Macs are so much better. Reluctantly, I tried one and immediately fell in love. I soon enjoyed being a computer user without needing to be a computer expert anymore.
I own both a Mac and a PC, but my PC is my main [desktop] computer, and my Macbook I have because there are no good PC laptops (FACT). I keep my PC for games, and because the only Mac Desktop that could match mine is the Mac Pro, which is pretty darn expensive. I hate the form factor of the iMac. It enrages me. I am also phobic about all in one units, especially because I built this desktop, and I have upgraded it several times during its lifespan. I don’t like the idea that all my hardware would have to be approved by Apple first, and that I can only touch my hardware in the way they tell me. I’m also a big gamer, which is less of an issue since boot camp, but bears mention. Further, I like that I know how to use a PC. Ever see a Mac user try to use a PC? It’s like watching a baby try to put a square peg into a round hole. Yeah, okay, I guess using the primitive PC interface is now below you, but I like being able to sit down at any computer and use it well.
All this having been said, if I won a Mac Pro, or got a sugar daddy to buy me one, I wouldn’t look back.
